The Berlin State Ballet School is Germany's leading public ballet school. It offers professional ballet training combined with general education, preparing students for careers in international ballet companies. History
Founded in 1951 as the State Ballet School of the former East Germany. In 1991, it merged with the State School for Acrobatics to become the Staatliche Ballett- und Artistikschule Berlin. A modern campus opened in 2010, bringing ballet, academics, and boarding together on one site.
Program Features
Requirements
Applicants must: Pass a ballet audition. Demonstrate strong physical ability, musicality, flexibility, and artistic potential. Students usually enter in Grade 5 (around age 10), although later entry is possible with sufficient previous training and artistic ability.
