Learn how to view, accept, and decline cast assignments you receive

Managing Assignments When production coordinators select you for a role,

you'll receive a cast assignment. This guide explains how to view and respond to your assignments. ## Accessing Assignments Navigate to Assignments in the main navigation menu. You'll see all your cast assignments organized by status.

Assignment Statuses Assignments can have different statuses: - Pending -

You've been assigned but haven't responded yet - Invited - You've been invited to a role (requires response) - Offered - You've been offered a role with a contract (requires review) - Accepted - You've accepted the assignment - Declined - You've declined the assignment - Cancelled - The assignment was cancelled ## Viewing Assignments ### Pending Assignments Assignments that need your response appear at the top of the page. Each assignment card shows: - Event information - Title, date, time, venue - Role name - The character or role you've been assigned - Production - The show name - Assignment details - Any special notes or requirements ### Accepted Assignments Once you accept an assignment, it moves to the "Accepted" section. These are your confirmed performances. ## Responding to Assignments ### Accepting an Assignment 1. Review the assignment details - Check the event date, role, and any requirements 2. Click "Accept" on the assignment card 3. For contract assignments - You'll need to review and sign the contract: - Read the contract terms carefully - Provide any required information - Sign electronically - Submit your acceptance Note: Once accepted, the assignment appears in your schedule and you're committed to the performance. ### Declining an Assignment If you're not available or don't want to accept: 1. Click "Decline" on the assignment card 2. Optionally add notes - Explain why you're declining (helpful for coordinators) 3. Confirm your decline Note: You can decline assignments, but try to respond promptly so coordinators can find replacements if needed. ## Contract Review Some assignments include a contract (hire order) that requires review: 1. Click "Review Contract" when offered 2. Read all terms - Pay attention to: - Performance dates and times - Fees and payment terms - Rehearsal requirements - Any special conditions 3. Provide required information - Such as tax details or emergency contacts 4. Sign electronically - Confirm your acceptance 5. Submit - Your assignment is confirmed Important: Only accept contracts you can commit to. Once signed, you're legally bound to the terms. ## Assignment Notifications You'll receive notifications when: - A new assignment is created for you - An assignment status changes - A contract requires your review Check your notifications regularly to stay on top of new opportunities. ## Managing Multiple Assignments If you have multiple assignments: - View all at once - The assignments page shows everything in one place - Filter by status - See only pending, accepted, or declined assignments - Check for conflicts - Make sure you don't accept overlapping events ## Assignment Details Each assignment includes: - Event information - Full event details - Role information - Character name and type - Production details - Show information - Venue information - Location and address - Call time - When to arrive - Contract details - If applicable ## Tips for Managing Assignments 1. Respond promptly - Coordinators need to know your availability quickly 2. Read contracts carefully - Understand all terms before accepting 3. Keep your schedule in mind - Don't accept conflicting assignments 4. Communicate clearly - If declining, explain why (it helps coordinators) 5.
