When you work through Flow Ballee, you are typically engaged as an independent contractor. This means you need to provide your tax identification information so we can process your payments and issue proper invoices.

Why We Need Your Tax ID

Tax authorities require businesses to collect tax identification numbers from contractors for:

  • Payment processing - To issue payments to your bank account
  • Invoice generation - Tax IDs must appear on invoices in most countries
  • Tax reporting - We may need to report payments to tax authorities

What Information You Need

The exact requirements depend on your country of residence:

European Union Countries

Most EU countries require:

  • Tax ID (also called Tax Identification Number or TIN)
  • VAT Number (if you are VAT-registered)

United Kingdom

  • UTR (Unique Taxpayer Reference) - 10 digits

United States

  • EIN or SSN for tax reporting purposes

Switzerland

  • CHE Number - Your Swiss business identification number

How to Add Your Tax Information

  1. Go to ProfileContract Details in the navigation
  2. Select your country of residence
  3. Enter your tax identification number
  4. Save your changes

Your tax information is stored securely and only used for payment processing and legal compliance.

Q: I don't have a tax ID yet. What should I do? A: You can continue using Flow without a tax ID, but we may not be able to process payments until you provide one. Contact your local tax authority to register.
